The laboratory in Poggio Imperiale
To experiment new forms of landscape representations, Stefano Passerotti builds his own permanent workshop. That's how the Stefano Passerotti garden was born, garden of intentions, of potentials of raw matter, that, thanks to the gardner passion, takes shape and becomes usable. The garden, as part of the Limonaia of Villa dell'Imperialino, is built on one of the most noble landscapes of modern Florence, that brings from the boroque axis of the Poggio Imperiale Villa to the marvelous landscape of Giuseppe Poggi's Viale dei Colli. Planted in 2001, Stefano Passerotti garden is an example of reinterpretation with contemporary eye of garden tradition, a magic place where the gardner starts his dialogue with nature. With the ancient rules and the respect of tradition, the garden hosts a collection of 450 perennial species.
